FAQs
Q. Can
I change my ZOO Webhost service once I have signed
up for a specific hosting plan?
A. At
ZOO Webhost you can
change your service level at anytime. Just give us a call
to upgrade or downgrade your hosting plan.
Q.
What is the difference between
domain name registration and hosting?
A. When
you register a domain name, you are simply buying a licence
to use that name on the internet as a 'web address'. Domain
names are the the actual www. name that is rented but never
actually owned by anyone. e.g www.telstra.com is rented from
the internet body and renewed every 1,2,5 years etc but if
not renewed and expired, can be purchased by anybody else).
Yet unless you have your own internet server
to house your website and email, you will have nowhere to
display your website or run your email from
At ZOO Webhost
we will host your website and email. This incurs a monthly
fee which is paid to have a something display on the 'www.'
location that you have and also allows you to have email passing
through this name. Any hosting company can do this irrespective
of who has renewed your domain name. However it is often better
to have this all done at the one place i.e ZOO
Webhost, to better track your web/email expenses
etc.
ZOO Webhost
is a service that gives you access to all the technical infrastructure
needed to run your website, without any need for technical
expertise or expensive hardware purchases.
With a hosting package from ZOO
Webhost, you will get both a domain name and a
range of services to help you run your website.
Q.
How do I renew my domain names?
A.
When your domain name approaches its expiry date,
you will be notified by a reminder email which will include
instructions on how to renew your domain name.
Q.
How can I pay for my domain names or
services?
A.
ZOO Webhost offers a secure, online credit card
payment facility. We currently accept payment for the following
types of credit cards:
VISA
MasterCard
Diners (Australian customers only)
